Setoware is a type of Japanese pottery, stoneware, and ceramics produced in and around the city of Seto in Aichi Perfecture, Japan. It is one of the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan. The Japanese term for Seto ware is "setomono", which is also used as a generic term for all pottery, you can see the importance of Setoware to the Japanese pottery culture.
The Bozuyama Kiln Miyaji Seisei is a tranquil gallery located in Seto, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Its roof is made of Akatsu tiles, and it stands as one of the few galleries in the Akatsu region. You can feel the warmth of wood and soil that has a history of 100 years, and this is the place where this piece of work is born.
Miyaji, the owner and a pottery artist, explores between traditional and modern in the works. The gallery showcases unique paintings and pieces adorned with animal motifs.
